History of First Madison Insurance:
Eldon “Red” Beukelman bought First Madison Insurance from First Bank in 1987. Red moved First Madison Insurance to the old train depot, then to its present day location of 109 S. Egan Ave. in 1990. Roger and Rose Stordahl purchased First Madison Insurance from Red and Irma Beukelman in 2001 and sold the business to their daughter and son-in-law Greg & Tammy Fender in January 2014, keeping First Madison Insurance a family oriented business.
Greg & Tammy Fender have decided to retire and pass the torch to the Gerrit Juffer, Jeff Juffer & Lyubov Blyshchik in May 2023 to insure that First Madison Insurance continues to be a family oriented business.
Present Day First Madison Insurance:
First Madison Insurance is an independent insurance agency that is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of South Dakota, Independent Insurance Agents of America (Big I), and Trusted Choice. First Madison Insurance can write business with more than a dozen insurance companies 8 different states.
